This page exists because Google Play requires a way to ask for your data to be deleted that does not depend on having the app installed. If you do have the app, the first route is the quickest.
Route one: in the app
Profile → Settings → Account settings → Account → Delete account.
The app asks you to confirm: your password, or — if you signed in with Google and have no password — the word DELETE. Deletion happens straight away, with no queue and no waiting period.
Route two: by email
Write to moodplanner.app@gmail.com from the address the account is registered to — that is the only thing by which we can tell the account is yours. Say that you are asking for your MoodPlanner account to be deleted.
We will carry the request out within 30 days and write back when it is done.
What is deleted
- your profile: name, email address, date of birth, profile picture;
- every mood entry and the notes attached to them;
- every event;
- your memberships of groups;
- the records of what you agreed to and, for an account under 16, the name and email of the parent who agreed;
- groups you created — with the account, since a group without its owner has nobody to administer it;
- the members you hid, and the choice of anyone who hid you;
- reports you sent, and reports about you;
- sign-in tokens.
What is not deleted
Other members' moods in your groups. They belong to their authors: when a group goes, their entries are not deleted but move into the personal history of whoever wrote them. Your own entries in those groups go with your account.
Timing
Data disappears from the live database immediately on confirmation. Backups are overwritten within 30 days, after which they hold nothing of yours.
Deletion is final: neither the account nor the entries can be restored afterwards.
